["He has been doing ........needs assessments, which is........ it seems a little bit like procrastinating to me."] Saturday January 28 9:12 pm Kamekwilu I am going to a bar fairly soon with Petra and Ricardo. Ricardo has been really helpful finishing off the base and helping sort out the new clinics. He has lots of experience and is a really practical guy. He is not so good with management and sorting out deals etc. He is a bit like Peter in that respect, he wants to take everything really slowly. The whole team is getting on pretty well, but I think he relies a bit to much on Petra and has been spending a lot of time with her planning on how things should be set up instead of getting stuck in and doing it. Petra has been really patient with him, I felt like me and Petra were getting a bit more down before he arrived. Well I got the bookkeeping finished, Abdulai was really helpful in producing all the receipts, I must admit I forgot a lot of the things we purchased and it looks like we may have gone a bit over budget, but I guess we can maybe just scale down Ricardo's latrine programme and anyway at the rate he is going it will take weeks before anything is started. He has been doing all these surveys and focus group discussions and needs assessments, which is all well and good, but it seems a little bit like procrastinating to me. Well I am getting reading for my Holiday in Zanzibar with Jen. I will be leaving next week so I am a bit unsure of what to expect from the Holiday. Ok so till next time. |
